This derelict pelican was in residence at the end of the pier. Unable to fly and therefore fish, he had taken up menacing the local fishermen here for share of the catch.

I took this cycling in Carlisle Massachusetts. Luckily I had a camera with me and was riding solo so I had time to stop and shoot.

 I was on my way to the junkyard to buy a door for my daughter-in-law's car, but had to stop by the side of the highway when I saw these clouds.

Lotus flower with it's pod soon to to emerge.
